Singer Madonna has topped a list of the world's highest earning
celebrities in 2013, according to a poll conducted by Forbes magazine.
The singer was named number one in the annual rich list despite the fact that her most recent album "MDNA" turned out to be a commercial flop. It had sales of under one million, but she has bagged the title because her accompanying tour boosted her estimated earnings to $125 million between June 2012 and June 2013, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Director Steven Spielberg ranked second in the list with estimated earnings of $100 million.
Author E.L. James shared the third position in the list with radio personality Howard Stern and music mogul Simon Cowell with $95 million each.
