early 7,000 Canadians are competing for a coveted spot on what would be the ultimate commute — to Mars.
Dutch entrepreneur Bas
Landorp plans to establish a human colony on the red planet by 2023,
and is looking for volunteers in what could very well be a one-way
mission.
More than 165,000 applicants from 140 countries have currently signed up for the $6-billion Mars One expedition.
And it seems among them there are thousands of Canadians who have itchy inter-galactic feet.
Every candidate had to post a video to the Mars One website explaining why they should be one of the lucky four colonists.
