The Rolling Stones look set to put on a show-stopping performance at the British Summer Time gigs in Hyde Park this summer with claims that the band are trying to persuade a bevy of pop's hottest female musicians to join them on stage including Adele, Lady Gaga and Florence Welch.
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts will be hitting the stage on July 6 at London's Hyde Park as part of the series of concerts taking place over the course of the one week. While fans, some of whom may not have been able to purchase tickets to see the band at Glastonbury, will be highly anticipating their headline set, it appears they may have even more reason to get excited.
According to The Sun, frontman Jagger has worked his magic and has persuaded 'Someone Like You' singer Adele to come out of hiding and join them on stage along with Lady Gaga, who is recovering from hip surgery, Paloma Faith and Florence Welch.
“The Stones would love to get Adele on with them. It would be a massive coup, even for them, because she’s been a bit reclusive since her son Angelo James was born,” the insider told the newspaper.
“She is the name they want to announce as their special guest — and their invite should be special enough to get her out on stage. At the minute it's 50/50 that she’ll do it, but Mick is quietly confident he can pull it off. They want to make the Hyde Park shows a highlight of their tour, and her appearing would make it really special.”

The legendary rockers are said to have been inspired by the idea of
having surprise female guests following the positive reaction Mary J.
Blige, Gaga and Florence received when they appeared on stage with
Jagger during the band's recent 50th anniversary concerts.“The group think female performers are a great complement for Mick ever since Florence Welch got on stage with them at London’s O2 Arena last year for Gimme Shelter,” the source continued.
“Gaga, Paloma and Flo would all do well in the Hyde Park shows, but Adele is the big prize this summer.” Sounds epic already!
