Top Engineering Colleges in Kerala 2013

Careers360 has rated 149 top engineering colleges in Kerala under the categories of AAAA, AAA+, AAA, AA+, AA, A+, A and A-.  Careers360 analyzed 3217 engineering colleges across India out of approximately 3600 engineering colleges in India.
God’s own country until recently was not very well known for its technical education prowess. With the enormous IT growth engine almost centred around the other three southern states, Kerala never felt the need to augment its technical education system. Only recently, with the emergence of Cochin and Trivandrum as IT services hub, the state has begun to augment its capacity. In the last five years very good colleges have come up in the private sector. While a few good private sector colleges like the TKM Engineering College in Kollam did exist the state has seen a huge number of colleges being set up  in the last decade. New groups like the SCMS colleges in Cochin have also come up in the recent years. Yet another feather in the state’s cap is the establishment of the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology at Trivandrum by ISRO.
