PRINCE Harry and his old flame Chelsy Davy are expected to be reunited at the society wedding of the year today.
Chelsy, 27, is
maid of honour at the wedding this evening of Lady Melissa Percy, second
daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, and Thomas van
Straubenzee. She took part in a rehearsal yesterday. Harry is expected
to be one of the ushers.
He and Chelsy have not
been photographed in public together since December 2011 but friends
have ruled out any rekindling of their romance.
Harry,
28, is dating socialite and dance student Cressida Bonas, 24, who is a
friend of the bridegroom’s younger brother Charlie, 25. “It’s hot and
heavy at the moment,” a friend said.
It remains
unclear, however, whether Cressida will accompany Harry to the wedding
in Alnwick, Northumberland, as the Prince is highly protective of her
and the couple are keen that their romance stays out of the limelight.
Prince
William, who celebrated his 31st birthday with his wife Kate in private
yesterday, is understood to be joint best man with his friend Guy
Pelly. “We’re not going into who is best man and who are the ushers. You
can draw your own conclusions from that,” said a spokesman for the
royal couple.

William and Harry
were at Ludgrove prep school with the 30-year-old groom, who is
William’s best friend and accompanied him on his first solo royal
overseas tour to New Zealand in 2005.
Kate who is due to give birth in a few weeks, is not expected to attend. “It’s a question of comfort,” a friend said.
Lady
Melissa, 26, is a tennis coach. Her family’s ancestral home, Alnwick
Castle, has doubled as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films
