Arecent survey brought out by NASSCOM in a joint initiative with Booz Allen Hamilton, a consultancy firm, stated the need for nearly 1.5 million MCA graduates in the Indian IT industry by next decade. It is evident that a few premier MCAcolleges alone cannot churn out enough graduates to meet this demand and it is here that otherMCA colleges, private and public, play their role. But with new technology institutes mushrooming in every nook and corner of the country, a dilemma about the quality of education arises for both IT organizations who are looking for good graduates and students who want to pursue a career in this industry. Methodology:
To rank the bestMCAcolleges, a perceptual study was conducted among HR managers, recruitment firms and job boards. The companies/institutes were chosen carefully to ensure that the HR managers/professionals interviewed were involved with recruitment and had a fair idea about the market. Over 3000 MCA graduates who graduated in the year 2006 and did not pursue any other course/program afterwards were interviewed across the six metros - Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai. After an exhaustive research and analysis, we come up with the list of top 50 MCA institutes (govt/private) Apart from this we also formed a list top 10 institutes across India in each zone.
