SC sentenced the actor to five years of jail in the case of illegal possession of arms related to 1993 Mumbai riots on March 21.

verdict came, Sanjay's old time friend Salman Khan
was among the earliest ones to reach out to the convicted actor. Salman
was in USA for his medical check-up at the time. Salman visited Dutt
soon after his return to India.
