IPL 2013 LIVE SCORE: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI Punjab skipper Adam Gilchrist won the toss and chose to bat against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 25th match of the Indian Premier League 2013, being played in Hyderabad.

Punjab made two changes with Dimitri Mascarenhas and Paul Valthaty playing today's match while Hyderabad still bench Kumar Sangakkara and Reddy comes in for Parthiv Patel.

Both the sides - Punjab and Hyderabad - had major escapes in their previous outing. While Punjab beat Kolkata in a dramatic fashion as they faltered from 106/3 to 153 all-out chasing 158, Hyderabad went one better by dismissing Pune for a paltry 108 chasing a lowly 120.

The bowling attacks either side boast of some talent - Hyderabad's quartet of Ishant Sharma, Dale Steyn, Thisara Perera and hat-trick man Amit Mishra and Punjab's Praveen Kumar, Azhar Mahmood, Ryan Harris (if he plays), Manpreet Gony, Parvinder Awana and Piyush Chawla.

Thw worrying factor for both sides too is common with Indian origin batsmen not clicking at the top - Parthiv Patel, Hanuma Vihari for Sunrisers and Mandeep Singh, Manan Vohra and Gurkeerat Singh for Punjab - and foreign recruits not in the best of form - Adam Gilchrist, Azahar Mahmood for Punjab and Kumar Sangakkara for Hyderabad.

David Hussey (Punjab) and Cameron White, Thisara Perera (Hyderabad) might hold the key to the outcome. Man-to-man, Hyderabad will hold an advantage with superior bowling strength if batsmen from either side continue to perform below par.

Added incentive for Sunrisers will be the chance to go table top, albeit with a game in hand over RCB and two games over Rajasthan. On the other hand, Kings XI will want to be more consistent as the tournament progresses.
