The Nissan based Duster SUV maybe called the Terrano according to a report from AutocarIndia. The Terrano was originally a compact SUV sold by the Japanese automaker during the 1990s and eventually discontinued in 2006. Acording to the report, while the name might be familiar to some, the biggest surprise is that the Terrano will mostly be priced Rs 50, 000 to Rs 75, 000 over the equivalent variant of the Duster.
It is believed that this move is a part of the agreement between the two manufacturers where the new vehicle must be priced higher than the donor vehicle. Unlike the Pulse and Scala, the Terrano is expected to get expected get a significantly large amount of changes and will have a look similar to that of the X-Trail. However, the interiors as well as the engine line up are all expected to remain the same in a bid to keep the costs down. The Terrano is likely to be launched in October during the festival season.
