A bright 15-year-old, who scored 95% in her SSC exams, tragically passed
away from a liver ailment just before her uncle could reach her with
the news that she had stood first in her school, St Mary Convent High
School, Vasai.
Aarohi Rajendra Vartak was a resident of Mulgaon in Vasai and the daughter of an excise inspector posted at Churchgate.
She passed away, not knowing of her success, at Kokilaben Hospital. Her family members were left shattered by the loss. The Vasai Tehsildar and MLA Vivek Pandit called on the girl’s family to offer their condolences.
“Aarohi was a bright student and was to opt for the Science stream and wanted to take up medicine as she wanted to become a doctor. She died at 2.30pm. I was rushing to tell her about her results, but she had passed away. She was very excited to know them for the past few months,” said Suresh Vartak, an uncle of the deceased.”Our family is completely shattered after her death,” Vartak said.
“We offered our condolences to the family; she was a very bright student and the biggest tragedy is that she died before getting to know her results,” said Vasai MLA Vivek Pandit.”She topped the school and it was supposed to be a time of celebration for the family. Unfortunately she is no
