Sasheh Aagha's debut film Aurangzeb is dominated by several big male
stars who hog most of the screen space, but it really doesn't bother her
much.
Any other star kid would perhaps have gone all out to ensure she got sufficient mileage from her first film, but not Sasheh. All of 21, Pakistani singer Salma Agha's daughter, come across as a confident newcomer who does not want to assert her position overtly.
You realize why she seems so assured of making a strong impact in Bollywood when you know she has a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films, starting with Aurangzeb."I am in no hurry. There are plenty of films and roles that will come my way. It is always better to take small and steady steps," says Sasheh, stressing that her small appearance in Aurangzeb, is a "powerful role".
"My character is that of a strong-headed girl who is partially confused but, yet knows how to handle the overbearing boy played by Arjun
Kapoor," she reveals, never mind if Sasheh's role is limited to a few steamy scenes and bikini shots, which she calls the "demand of the script".
Sasheh gets astonished with the fact that her debut is compared with her mom Salma's 1982 debut film Nikaah. The film was a social drama that presented its cast in a conservative set-up.
"Variety is the beauty of our films. We cannot compare two different kinds of films. My debut film is totally different from what my mom did years ago," Sasheh says.
