CBSE class 10th results 2013: Performance of girls marginally better than boysThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results for class 10 board examinations on Thursday morning. The performance of girls is marginally better than boys -- a pass percentage of 98.94 percent for girls as compared to 98.64 percent for boys.

According to reports, 98.76 per cent students have qualified the exam for their admission to higher classes. The percentile is marginally up from 98.19 per cent in 2012.

The overall pass percentage in Chennai region is 99.80, the highest as compared to other regions. In the year 2012, the Chennai region has broked down all the recent records as the passing ratio was 99.66.

For the first time, the CBSE has introduced the continuous and comprehensive Evaluation (CCE).

The examination of 10th class between were conducted between March 2 March 15, 2013. The result is available on the CBSE's official website- cbseresults.nic.in.

The students can also call 24300699 (for Delhi subscribers) or 011-24300699 (other parts of the country) to get their results.

They can also check their results through SMS, but they have to pay for that. The rate for SMS registration and communication of result per roll number will be Re 1.

The students can send an SMS by typing 'cbse10 roll no' to 543216 (MTS), 57766 (BSNL), 54321 (Indicom and Docomo), 5800002 (Aircel), 5207011 (Airtel), 9212357123 (NIC) and 50000 (Vodafone).

The students can also use IVRS to check their marks by dialling 011-24300699.

The CBSE has also made a provision to facilitate the schools to get entire results. The schools just needs to put their school code and email-id by registering in www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in
