Aussie James Duckworth beaten in first round of French Open by Slovenian Blaz Kavcic

James Duckworth
Duckworth lost to the same opponent in the second round of the Australian Open in January, in a marathon five-set match that lasted almost five hours.
It was a vastly different story at Roland Garros, as Kavcic accounted for the Australian qualifier with ease in a 6-2 6-2 6-2 victory.
Competing at his second grand slam, 21-year-old Duckworth had been optimistic about his chances against a familiar opponent after progressing through qualifying.
However the world No.185 could barely land a blow against his 104th-ranked opponent, who mixed up his play beautifully on the red clay to secure victory in an hour and 46 minutes.
Duckworth became the first casualty of a seven-strong Australian contingent at the season's second grand slam.
Kavcic, who defeated Lleyton Hewitt in the first round at Roland Garros last year, will meet either Italian Andreas Seppi or Argentine Leonardo Mayer in the second round.
