Bollywood has taken a shine to the stunning Sunny Leone
for sure! After the actress signed a three-film deal with producer
Parag Sanghvi for a staggering Rs 5 crore, she is again in the news for
bagging the Welcome sequel.
The industry is abuzz with the talk that Sunny Leone has replaced Mallika Sherawat in Welcome 2, titled Welcome Back. Yes, Sunny will essay the role of the love interest of Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor in the film. The role was played by Mallika Sherawat in the original.
Apparently, the makers of Welcome 2 feel that Mallika has lost her charm. Also, her last movie Kismat Love Paisa Dilli (2012) tanked without a trace at the box office.
“Mallika is busy doing her television show, and besides, the filmmakers felt that she isn’t as popular as she was during the making of Welcome…” a source is quoted as saying. Sunny Leone, on the other hand, enjoys a good fan-base because of her growing popularity, and will hot up the screen with her beauty and oomph.
While Mallika Sherawat is trying to revamp her career and soon will be seen on Bachelorette India -- Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika, the Indian version of the American reality show The Bachelor, Sunny Leone is currently busy with Ragini MMS 2, and is looking forward to other projects which she has signed. Her item song Laila from Shootout At Wadala is a chartbuster.
