Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone: Together once more

Until Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the film has clicked big time, and has made it the biggest hit of the year. Now everyone will want to cast them together and cash in on their craze. And the first in the line of filmmakers is Imtiaz Ali, who has signed RK and Dips for his next love story.

There were speculations that Katrina and Alia Bhatt were considered for this film but post YJHD, it can now be revealed that Dips has been finalised for the part.

Says an industry source, “The success of YJHD proves beyond all doubts that the audiences are in love with this  onscreen pair. Ranbir was on-board for almost a year. Though Imtiaz and Ranbir had discussed various options for the lead actress, they were still debating on who was the best choice. It was during the shooting of YJHD, that Ranbir suggested Deepika’s name. Imtiaz, who worked with her before in Love Aaj Kal, was open to the idea. Then came the blockbuster — YJHD — which turned out to be the clinching factor.” Imtiaz is known to do quirky love stories with a twist. And the casting with this new hit pair makes the project hotter.
