Happy wife, happy life.” That’s Chad Kroeger’s philosophy.
The Nickelback singer spoke to ET Canada earlier this week on the set of his and wife Avril Lavigne’s duet video shoot for “Let Me Go.”
After marrying in July, Kroeger, 38, has taken the concept of making his new wife happy at all times very seriously - the rocker did the unspeakable and gave his pop princess control of the TV remote, People magazine reports.
“We watched ‘Harry Potter’ together,” she admitted.

Kroeger doesn’t regret his trip to Hogwarts either.
“It was kinda fun to do the entire series together,” he replied.
Lavigne is definitely the queen of the castle, as she not only dominates what they watch but what they eat.
“She’s an amazing cook,” he said. “I’ve never tasted one thing that [she's] put on the table where I was like, ‘I wish I had a dog.’ That’s never happened.”

Could Kroeger be a better husband? Probably not. He even flew thousands of miles from Brazil to be with her on her 29th birthday last month.
“I surprised her by showing up,” he boasted.
Lavigne added, “He got off stage and went right to the airport and flew many hours to make sure [he was] with me on my birthday, and that was the best gift.”
Lavigne will do the same for Kroeger next month as he turns 39 and will be away touring in Europe with Nickelback.
