JRF NET 2013 Exam Syllabus, Subjects Online Form, Eligibility Criteria

JRF NET 2013 Exam: CSIR conducts Joint CSIR-UGC test for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship). CSIR and UGC provide CSIR/UGC Fellowship for training in research field under expert teachers/Scientists in University/Institutions/Laboratories. Only Indian Citizen may apply for this fellowship.


JRF NET Syllabus 2013: CSIR held this exam in the following areas:
•        Chemical Sciences
•        Earth Sciences
•        Life Sciences
•        Mathematical Sciences
•        Physical Sciences
•        Engineering Sciences

Test will be based on MCQ of total 200 marks. Duration of Exam will be three hours. JRF NET is divided into three papers:

Part ‘A’: In Part A questions are given form General Science, Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis and Research Aptitude. Total 20 questions are given out of which 15 needs to be answered. This section is of total 30 marks. (Reasoning Preparation)

Part ‘B’: This section consists of 50 MCQ questions mentioned in the syllabus.  Candidates are required to answer any 35 questions. Part ‘B’ is of total 70 marks.

Part ‘C’: This section consists of 75 MCQ questions.  Candidates are required to answer any 20-35 questions. Part ‘B’ is of total 70 marks. This section consists of scientific problem where candidates need to apply their scientific problem. Part ‘C’ is of total 100 marks.

1/4th marks will be deducted for every wrong answers.
JRF NET 2013 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have completed Master Degree or Equivalent with 55% of marks for General and OBC Candidates.SC/ST Candidates must score 50 % of marks. Final year candidates may also apply.

Candidates should have age limit of 19 to28 years to apply for JRF NET. SC/ST/OBC candidates have Age Relaxation of 5 years.

JRF NET 2013 Application Form: Application forms may be obtained by Hand through the notified branch of Bank. For Gen Rs. -400/-, for OBC- Rs. 200/-, for SC/ST/PH/VH- Rs. 100/- application fee is required.

Application Forms may be obtained by post also, from the  “Indian Bank,3/1, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi-110 008 (Ph. No. 011-25888257)” by sending a  crossed Demand draft for Rs. 400/-, Rs. 200/- or Rs.100/- (as the case may be)drawn in favour of  “Indian Bank, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi.”
