UGC NET Application Form

UGC Net Application Form 2013:
University Grants Commission (UGC) is all set to go for the National Eligibility Test (NET) for award of Junior Research Fellowship and make eligible a candidate for Lectureship in UGC recognized colleges and universities in India. The examination can be appeared by any individual, who is a citizen of India by birth or who has been conferred citizenship of India. The applicants need to appear in their specific academic credentials and can appear for this UGC NET 2013 as per the following details:
Mode of Application:
The applications will only be accepted via Online mode through the special dedicated website for UGC NET 2013. The web portal address is http://ugcnetonline.in . A candidates can get all details about essential requirements as well as know about the procedures of submission of Online application from this dedicated portal.
Most vital Dates to Reckon For:
•Final Date for Submission of UGC NET Application Form 2013 through online mode: Friday, November the 16th, 2012
•Final date for receipt of hard copy of the documents at the Universities coordinating in UGC NET 2013: Thursday, November the 22nd 2012
•The date for UGC NET Examination 2013: Sunday, December the 30th 2012
Vital Eligibility Factor For Age Consideration:
The candidates aspiring to appear for UGC NET exam 2013 need to be within the following age limit in order to get permission for examination:
•For Junior Research Fellowship: A candidate must be bellow 28 years as on December the 1st, 2012
•For Lectureship: The candidates are not governed by any upper age limit
However, for JRF, the candidates belonging to specific categories like ST, SC, OBC will be eligible for relaxation in upper age limit as per the norms of the Govt.
Academic Eligibility Credentials:
•The applicants aspiring for UGC NET Exam 2013 must have completed/ appearing their final year of Master’s Degree examination with minimum of 55% marks without rounding up the percentage. This criteria is relaxed for candidates belonging to ST/ SC/ PWD candidates who need to get at least 50% marks to become eligible.
•Those applicants, who are still awaiting the results can get admitted provisionally, provided they secure the minimum eligibility percentage in their qualifying examination.
•The applicants are advised to appear in the subjects that they have adopted during their post-graduation study. If the subject is not listed in the UGC NET list of subjects, they may opt for some other relevant fields/ subjects.
Fees to be deposited for completion of the UGC NET Application Form 2013:
•The General category candidates: INR 450
•The OBC (Non-Creamy) Candidates: INR 225
•The SC/ ST and PWD Candidates: INR 110
Apart from this the candidates need to pay an additional INR 20 as bank commission charges. The fee can be remitted in any branch of State Bank of India through fee payment challan downloaded from the website of the UGC NET at http://ugcnetonline.in
