Sourav Ganguly: "Darren Sammy would be more disappointed after Day 2, he let India off the hook after lunch by not attacking Dhoni and Rohit. This Indian side is a dangerous one, you don't want to give them chances. We saw what happened in the one-day series vs Australia. Every time when the pressure is on them, they seem to deliver. India can press on for a win in this game now."
Rahul Dravid: "Ashwin has worked on his game. More than the number of runs, his temperament under pressure is what makes him a good batsman."
16:17 (IST) Rohit Sharma after his 127 not out on debut: "I'm glad I could bat through the day and get the team to a good total. A Test hundred is always a special one and getting on debut was more special. I'm hoping for a good day tomorrow. There was a lot of pressure, we lost five early wickets. When I get back to the hotel room and relax, I'll look back on what I've done. I was very focussed and I wanted to do it."
16:07 (IST) It's stumps: India end the day at 354/6, lead with 120 runs. Rohit Sharma 127* and R Ashwin 92* in between a 198-run stand.

15:47 (IST) Rohit 123*, Ashwin 82* have added 184 runs for the seventh wicket already. India 340/6, lead by 106 runs. Six overs left in the day.
