World no. 1 Novak Djokovic will clash against his fellow country mate Viktor Troicki in the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2013 opening round on Tuesday 26th February at 15:05 GMT, being played here on outdoor hard courts at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre in Dubai.
Six-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic has been playing first ATP tournament here in Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, since winning Australian Open 2013 crown beating his rival World No. 3 Andy Murray in four sets last month. Serbian is one of the top prospects to clinch the title here in Dubai, where he will face big challenge against World No. 2 Roger Federer.
27-year-old Viktor Troicki will have to play best tennis of his career to beat top seed Djokovic and hopes to show best performance in Dubai Tennis Championships.
Both the players
are meeting for the 14th time in thier tennis career, where Djokovic
leads with a 12-1 win loss head-to-head record against Troicki. The pair
last meet at 2012 Wimbledon Championship fourth round and Serbian
clinches victory in three sets with a 6-3, 6-1, 6-3 score line. As per
the predictions, Djokovic is considered big favorite to clinch the
victory in two sets and enter into the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2013 second round.
